Or, as I like to call it, "Hong Kong by way of Brussels."
It's worth noting that there are a lot of details and most of them are in the model itself...the only real exceptions being the roof shingles, floor tiling and plants. Everything else is all just model... Full image is 3000x5000 or so if you wish to get a closer look.
I ended up spending so much time on modeling that the lighting got the short end of the stick as it were. I'm still not really satisfied with that part of it and may go back to it later. Also, the original concept of the image was at night, so perhaps I'll go back and create a night version as well.
At any rate, let me know what you think.
*** EDIT: Thanks incredibly much for DD and overwhelming response.... I am much honored...
*** EDIT 2: By request, now available as a print as well.
The River by ~owen-c is a very highly detailed scene with a fairly unique cartoony feel to it! - words by suggester (Suggested by ~ShengDaFlashPRo and Featured by `joannastar)
Thanks, be sure to check out the "ver. 2" as well with updated lighting and so forth. Nice work you have as well. And I see you're watching Bakemonogatari, that's neat since I am currently watching that show as well.
Daily Deviation
Given 2009-11-27The details are crazy-good. I mean, seriously.

Thank you for the compliment. Ah, bakemonogatari offers a unique feel and flow of the story, and the background work is just so amusing
