Mater Ecclesia

This one is a modeling study based on the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood in St. Petersburg, Russia. The name of the church comes from the fact that it was constructed on the site of Czar Alexander II's assassination.

I found this building while doing research for another project, and for some reason it was asking for me to model it. About 20 hours later this is the result of the experiment...

I don't usually show AO renders of white untextured models, but I wanted to in this case to show the level of detail on the model. (and full sized image is something like 3000x4000....) Perhaps later on I will go back and color it, though it seems like that would be a pain at this point.
