Description
Some of us traveled in search of the truth found within books, others to the call of a distant memory of a secret garden deep within a forest, a golden thread of melody, the crescent moon of a woman's face glimpsed in profile; somehow we have all found ourselves in the City of Asvodel. We are transfixed by its great edifices of steel and concrete; they are pillars we have constructed, to confine the boundless sky. In Asvodel, it is forever yesterday; we of the City are always running to catch up with the flow of time, to complete endless backlogs of appointments, of projects, of bureaucratic procedures, in the hopes that we may finally reach today, the present in which all is possible, the bridge to the tomorrow which lies on the empyrean. Caught in this flow of time, we forget the dreams which led us to this City, and find ourselves shells of men, like the great towers of the City when they wait each night for people to again inhabit them. It is only on rare days that we catch a glimpse of the dreams which led us to the City, in a gleam of sunlight reflected from a high window, in the wink of a naiad in an entranceway frieze, in a face in the crowd which has already passed us by.

Another in an Art Deco series. I'm trying to capture another cityscape though I find that I have less patience for such things. Done between various work and projects; trying to make more time for such things. I do like the way that it came out though.
The plane seen in the distance is not my model

Cool skyscraper designs!!! I think we need more interesting and aesthetic buildings not boring and cheap buildings.
